Last weekend Emily and I went to Vegas! My parent's friends got married, and my kind mother invited us along for a small trip. Emily is not 21 yet, so we had to get a little bit creative with what we did for entertainment. We stayed at the Venetian, which is seriously one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. There was a huge shopping mall inside of the hotel, so we of course shopped a little bit. We found our favorite designers, and dreamed of actually buying something from them. It didn't come true... haha So then we hung out by the pool. Later we got dressed up and had a wonderful dinner at Canaletto. It was so DELICIOUS! After dinner, we explored and walked the strip. However, it was so unbelievably hot. When I say hot, I mean it was still over 100 degrees past 10. We just enjoyed people watching and the different stores and buildings along the strip. We only stayed for one night so it was a quick trip. But we had fun. Here are some pictures!

Montessori Inspired Cupcakes
I am almost done with my Montessori Training. It has been almost four long weeks of training, but it has been very enjoyable. I have absolutely fallen in love with the Montessori philosophy and I am becoming more and more excited about having my own class room some day. Last week we finished the Math curriculum. It was a little bit heavy and a lot to take in. To celebrate its completion, although I do love math and probably could have done another week of it, I made some cupcakes for everyone. I turned them into the short bead stair. If you have no clue what that is, the short bead stair is work that Maria Montessori developed to help teach the children numbers and how to easily count them. The one bead is red, the two bead bar is green, the yellow bead bar is pink, and so on. Here is a picture of a real short bead stair:
This is my cupcake creation!
Home Decor Finds!
Yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby with my mom and little sister. I wasn't expecting to buy too much. When out of no where I turned the corner to two whole aisles with 90% OFF SIGNS! I almost screamed. I mean, come on, 90% off that is unheard of. I got some of the cutest things. Here are picture. If you live by a Hobby Lobby check it out!
For my future coffee bar! Originally $39.99, on sale for $4!
I am definitely most excited about this picture! I think it so adorable. Originally $59.99, on sale for $6
This is a little tray that holds random junk, but hey we all have to much stuff, we might as well make it look good. Tray $3, originally $6.
