Shoestring Budget Begins

So, Nicole and I have made a deal with each other that for the next 8 weeks we will live off $50 a week. This will exclude gas expenses and gym membership dues. Lately we have been experiencing too many "shopping high's" and have been spoiling ourselves a little to much. This includes a luxurious spa day at Burke Williams, several $100 dollar shopping sprees and expensive sushi dates. Last week I (Emily) spent $95 on an outfit at Nordy's, $60 on towels and a bath mat at Target, $60 on an outfit at J. Crew, $25 on 2 Lucky purses (come on I had too), $25 on gel nails, and $115 on highlights. That totaled $380 on one week of pampering. With this type of spending by the end of summer I would be broke. So...tomorrow..Monday June 10th 2013...Nicole and I will be starting our $50 a week budget. Wish us luck!
